Qi Gong

Learn about this ancient healing modality that has been practiced for over 5000 years in China. In this course we will cover the history, philosophy, the five elements as well as the connection to emotions, food, and disease from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective. You will walk away from this workshop with new tools to combat stress, a deeper understanding of how emotions can affect the mind/body/spirit connection, sync deeper into your body awareness and share in a Qigong practice.

Theories and practices of Qigong. I will briefly cover the Chinese theories of how the body functions from Traditional Chinese Medicine, talk about Yin/Yang energy and give examples, touch briefly on the I Ching and the Dao, explain the five-element system, its ties to the emotional/physical body and the Tan Tien energy centers. We will cover the Wu Ji posture and then do a series of practices to tie it all together.
